The Sun and the Earth are Gods we can see .....

Why the sun and earth are Gods

All life forms on Earth are possible only due to the Sun. If Sun is not there no life will remain on this planet. It is confirmed by science. But there is another question; Is only the Sun responsible for our lives or other life forms? We can get its answer logically, like this:- If it were true then there must be life forms on all other planets. But that is not so. Till now science has not got evidence of life on any other planet than Earth. Actually, life on Earth is possible because the Earth has suitably placed itself in the solar system. So it is clear that the earth and the sun have collectively made life possible on the earth. In a way, we can say that they are like our mother and father and their place in our spiritual life must get due importance.
          When we get up from bed in the morning we should say our “Pranam”(प्रणाम) and thank them along with other Gods we revere. It is called “Pratah Smaran”(प्रातः स्मरण). Next, before taking the first step leaving bed we should touch the ground (Bhoomi -भूमि) with our hand and then the forehead.
          After taking bath we should pay “Arghyam”(अर्घ्यम्) and “Deepam”(दीपम्) to sun God and recite the following “Mantra”(मन्त्र):-

"सूर्य देव सहस्रांशो तेजो  राशि जगत्पते
अनुकम्पाय माभक्त्या गृहणार्घ्य दिवाकर !"
(“Surya deva Sahastransho Tejo Rashi Jagatpate;

Anukampaya maya bhktya gruhanarghya diwakara”)

   For the daily prayer of the Sun God, one can recite the "Aadityahrudayam Stotram"(आदित्यहृदयम् स्तोत्रम्). It is the teaching to God Rama (राम) by Rishi Agastya (ऋषि अगस्त्य ) just before the killing of Ravana (रावण). It so happened that during the battle all warriors of Ravana (रावण) had been killed except himself but in the process, Rama (राम) got exhausted. Ravana (रावण) was coming all prepared for the war and seeing Rama (राम)  in this state Rishi Agustya (ऋषि अगस्त्य)  went to Rama (राम) and advised him to pray Sun God (सूर्य देवता). All Gods including Sun God (सूर्य देवता) had come there to see this great battle. Rama (राम) did so, Sun God (सूर्य देवता) got pleased and Rama (राम) felt new energy and strength and got prepared for battle. Seeing Ravana (रावण) advancing, the Sun God (सूर्य देवता) told Rama (राम) to hurry up. This part of the story is taken from "Ramayana"(रामायण) by Maharshi Walmiki (महर्षि वाल्मीकि) and written in "Sanskrit" (संस्कृत) language. Praying Sun God through this "Aadityahrudayam Stotram" (आदित्यहृदयम् स्तोत्रम्) rejuvenates the divine life of a devotee.
             Another prayer for Sun God is "Suryastak" (सूर्याष्टक). You can read in this link - "Suryastak".
